Tourism is the primary economic force in our Islands and the sector that creates most jobs and wealth in our community. For this reason the Balearic Islands must become the best and most competitive tourist destination in the Mediterranean. To achieve this, measures such as the following are necessary:
- A reduction in taxes. The most important would be a reduction of VAT to 4%, a 50% reduction in port and airport taxes, and incentives for businesses that stay open during the low season.
- Improve competitiveness with greater quality, more innovation, better service, and a better image.
- The creation of an aerial connection plan which guarantees links and frequency of flights to the home areas of potential tourists.
- Urgent and thorough redevelopment of the Platja de Palma and Sant Antoni.
- Fight against seasonality with a diversification of products and promotion.
