The central themes of our program in relation to environment and land use are: legal certainty, efficiency participation and preservation of the environment. To achieve this, the following are necessary:
- Legislative acts directed towards creating a stable and clear regulatory framework
- Efficiency in the processing of planning, and necessary co-ordination between the different organisations involved.
- Adaptation of planning to higher national bodies; transparency and publicity.
- Revision of the regulations governing the granting of licenses to make the process more efficient.
Three themes structure our political actions with regard to the environment:
- Sustainable use of basic environmental resources, seeking balance between economic development and the environmental consequences of this.
- Social consensus in the development of this type of work, which means that environmental policy will not be made from the top down, but from the social base, listening to the people and keeping projects and positions flexible.
- Fighting against all types of pollution, including green-house gases, and using clean energy.
